 2. If a long task breaks into small parts:

Imagine a big tree with several branches which you have to cut, now this big task at your hand so instead of looking at a big tree see tree into branches now decide you will cut first 10 branches and then other 10 and other. In short focus on first step at first time on that small part of work.

In this basic time block is 25 minutes in which you will work for 25 minutes and then 5 minutes break will be taken further with time you can expand breaks or you can modify as per your wish you reduce time or increase also. Additional tip: you can download an app or search web-app by searching the name of “ pomodoro timer app”.

2. Prioritization with the Eisenhower Matrix

The Eisenhower Matrix categorizes tasks into four quadrants:
✅ Urgent & Important: Do immediately
✅ Important but Not Urgent: Schedule for later
✅ Urgent but Not Important: Delegate to someone else
✅ Neither Urgent Nor Important: Eliminate

3. Timeboxing

Set a timing boundary to your task which helps you deal with the feeling of ”I have spend so much time on this task ” is called the time boxing method. Eg; 1 hour for car wash , 2 hour for family , 30 min for email etc

4. Pareto's Principle 80/20

The Pareto Principle, also known as the 80/20 rule, was developed by Italian economist Vilfredo Pareto in the late 1800s, who observed that a small percentage of causes often lead to a large percentage of effects. It says in life 80% impact comes from 20% effort. In other words, do that work which carries the most weightage for eg: In exams for a score 80% or  above, learn 20% of questions only which are repeatedly asked in every exam. In short, identify high-impact tasks and focus on them.

5.Delegation and Automation

Delegate tasks that don’t require your expertise to assistant or virtual assistant . You can see automation tools (Google Calendar, Trello, Notion) to streamline work.

6. Eat That Frog( Brian Tracy)

Do the first most important task in your list first for eg: At start of your day so rest of day you will feel relaxed as only less important tasks left. Additional suggestion that if you find something difficult to do so schedule that task first in your day so you complete the most difficult thing at the start of your day only.

7.Get Things Done

David Allen is inventor of this method in which list down you list of task on paper or digital tool and then you categorize and assign priority in :

1. what needs to be done immediately

2. what can in queue

3.what can be delegated or deleted entirely.
